Warrantech Corporation offers a complete coverage for up to 5 years from Date of Purchase (DOP) inclusive of the manufacturer’s warranty and recommends the following service options depending on which category the item belongs to:
Carry-In : Customer can ship the product to one of the authorized services based on the item brand, category and zip code, and Warrantech will ship the package back to the consumer after completion of the repair.
In-Home: A Technical Specialist is assigned to resolve the problem at the customer’s registered location or residence.
Warrantech Corporation has three major business segments: Automotive, Consumer Products and International. The first two operate exclusively in North America.
The Automotive segment markets and administers extended warranties on automobiles, light trucks, recreational vehicles and automotive components.
The Consumer Products segment markets and administers service contracts on household appliances, consumer electronics, computers and peripherals, and major mechanical systems within homes.

Laptops / Notebooks
Two (2) and three (3) year date of purchase contracts inclusive of the manufacturer's warranty for laptop / notebook computers. These contracts may be used on products sold commercially. Coverage on these plans is carry-in. The customer can ship the product to one of our authorized service centers and Warrantech will ship the package back to the consumer after completion of the repair.
Peripherals
These contracts may be sold on printers, scanners, hard drives, copiers, MP3 players, zip drives, etc. These contracts are available in two (2) and three (3) year date of purchase contracts inclusive of the manufacturer's warranty. These contracts may be used on products sold commercially. The customer can ship the product to one of our authorized service centers and Warrantech will ship the package back to the consumer after completion of the repair.
Computer Systems
Two (2) and three (3) year date of purchase contracts inclusive of the manufacturer's warranty for computer systems. These contracts may be used on products sold commercially. One contract may include two peripherals, if purchased on the same invoice with a computer. Coverage on these plans is carry-in. The customer can ship the product to one of our authorized service centers and Warrantech will ship the package back to the consumer after completion of the repair. Screen Damage
These contracts must be sold at the same time as the product. They must also be purchased with a comprehensive plan. The screen damage coverage begins at date of purchase so coverage commences immediately upon purchase of the product. Should the screen of your notebook computer, monitor, LCD, DLP, or Plasma TV become scratched or damaged unintentionally, the screen will be replaced.
On-Site Coverage
Two (2) and three (3) year extensions can be sold on any computer, notebook, or peripheral contract. These contracts convert the extended service plan to in-home service. In many instances when in-home service is not feasible or convenient these plans will pay the shipping expense both ways. These contracts are now in-home even if the original manufacturer's warranty does not provide for in-home service.
Replacements
One-year extensions may be sold on any product with a battery or cord. This warranty begins at the conclusion of the srhotest portion of the manufacturer’s warranty. Should the product become defective during the extended service plan, the customer calls Warrantech for a Repair Order (RO) to have the unit replaced. At the time of the replacement the contract provisions have been fulfilled. You may now sell a new service plan with the replacement product.
Television Non-Plasma
These contracts are designed to be sold on any direct view, LCD, or DLP product. DVD / TV and VCR / TV combinations can also be sold on this product. These contracts are inclusive of the manufactuer's warranty. Coverage is for a total of three (3) or five(5) years. All coverage over $750 is in-home service. In-home service contracts are also available under $750.
* Lamps are not included in this plan, however lamp coverage is available (RMLMP3, RMLMP5)
Plasma
These contracts are designed to be sold on any Plasma TV. These contracts are inclusive of the manufactuer's warranty. Coverage is for a total of three (3) or five(5) years.
All coverage includes in-home service.
Lamp Replacement
These contracts are inclusive of the manufactuer's warranty on the lamp. This coverage must be sold at the time the LCD, LCoS, D-ILA or DLP is sold. The coverage applies to the lamp and is a parts only warranty. Warrantech will replace up to two lamps during the coverage period. The plan applies only to the lamp(s) and does not cover any other parts, trip, labor, or shipping.
* Coverage is limited up to $1,000 per lamp.
Home Theatre
This coverage was designed so that one plan covers an entire home theatre system. These contracts are inclusve of the manufactuer's warranty. Coverage is for a total of three (3) or five (5) years. this plan provides for a technician to pull the defective unit from the system and send it to our authorized service center for repair. Once the defective unit has been repaired the technician will reinstall the unit. All components of the system may be covered, except for wiring and installation. Televisions in this system are all in-home service.
Tiers are determined by total ticket hardware and labor. Wiring and construction are excluded.
Audio Equipment
These contracts are inclusve of the manufactuer's warranty. Coverage is for a total of three (3) or five (5) years. This plan covers still audio products, systems and MP3 players. Multiple systems with one serial number may be covered under one plan. These plans are carry-in service. The customer ships the product to one of our authorized service centers and Warrantech will ship the package back to the consumer after completion of the repair.
All Home Audio products including "Home Theatre in a box"
Video Equipment
These contracts are inclusve of the manufactuer's warranty. Coverage is for a total of three (3) or five (5) years. This plan covers video products including both still and video digital cameras. These plans are carry-in service. The customer can ship the product to one of our authorized service centers and Warrantech will ship the package back to the consumer after completion of the repair.
DVD, DVR, Tivo, Satellite, Camcorder, All Cameras and Lens
Home Security
These contracts are inclusve of the manufactuer's warranty. Coverage is for a total of three (3) or five (5) years. These plans cover products related to home security. They include cameras, monitors, time lapse recording devices, real time recording devices. These plans will cover entire systems provided they are within the retail dollar amounts listed below.
